The freight terminal trick is smart, I might try that. Another thing I found – some of the smaller regional hazmat carriers are way more flexible about residential pickups than the big national ones. I used a carrier called Apex out of Tennessee once for a residential pickup and they only charged like $75 extra instead of the $200+ the big guys wanted. Worth shopping around with local companies instead of just calling the ones that show up on Google first.
