Alright so I’ve been doing backyard shows with just fuse for years but after a couple near-misses this 4th I think it’s time to go electric. Problem is I’m a hobbyist not a pro and I can’t justify spending + on a Cobra system.

I’ve been looking at the Ignite system by FireTek and the Initiate+ from a smaller company. Both are around -350 for 12 cues. Anyone used either of these?

My main concern is reliability – I don’t need fancy scripting or wifi. Just something that fires on time every time. Had a friend whose cheap Amazon module misfired 4 cues out of 16 during his show and it was a disaster.

Also open to buying used if that’s a thing. Saw a couple on Craigslist but they looked sketchy.

I’ve had good luck with the Ignite system. Got mine for around , used it for maybe 6 shows now without a single misfire. The range is solid too – tested through trees at maybe 200ft and everything fired. Battery life could be better though. I charge it overnight before every show just to be safe. For the price it’s way better than the Amazon specials.
