I save the labels for the cakes I actually liked so I remember what to buy next year lol. otherwise its straight to recycling. the little instruction slips are useless tbh.
the lot number / importer info on the packaging is the one thing worth hanging onto if you can. if there’s ever a recall thats how they trace it. there have been a few CPSC recalls over the years on consumer cakes so keeping the label or the insert for the big stuff is cheap insurance. I just snap a photo of it and toss the cardboard honestly.
Curious what everyone does with all the packaging. I’ve got a stack of empty cakes and the little paper inserts with the brand and warning text sitting in my garage and I’m not sure if any of its worth keeping. some of it has the lot numbers and importer info on it. do you guys bother saving it or just pitch it after the 4th?
