Texas heat is no joke for storage. I’m in Nebraska so our summers are hot too but not as bad. Biggest thing is keep them out of direct sun and off concrete floors in the garage – concrete pulls moisture like crazy. Plastic totes with silica gel packs help a lot. If you can keep them under 90F you’re probably fine for consumer stuff.
