I work at a seasonal tent and honestly the packaging thing is kinda funny to me cuz we sell some stuff where the box is clearly trying to make up for what’s inside lol. Had a few brands this year where the box had all these foil accents and cool graphics but the cake itself was like… average at best.
That said I do think it helps sell product. People grab the cool looking boxes way more than the plain ones even if the plain ones are better. It’s just retail psychology man.
Kinda curious if the China manufacturers are doing more custom packaging now or if it’s the US brands requesting it. Heard some factories in Liuyang started offering full custom print runs for smaller MOQs which might explain why we’re seeing more variety.
