Anyone else already looking ahead to New Year’s? I know July 4th just passed and my wallet’s still recovering lol, but I’m already sketching out what I wanna do for NYE.

I usually do a backyard show for friends and family on the 4th but for New Year’s I’m thinking of going bigger. Maybe stepping up to some 1.3G stuff if I can find a way to make it work legally. The cold weather shoots are always way more fun anyway – the smoke hangs lower and the colors pop different in winter air.

What’s everyone planning for NYE? Or am I the only one who’s already thinking about it?

Haha I’m the same way man. 4th is barely over and I’m already making my NYE shopping list. Winter shows are so much better – the cold air makes everything crack louder and the smoke doesn’t drift away as fast.

One thing about going up to 1.3G for NYE though – make sure you’ve got the storage situation figured out before you buy. You don’t wanna be sitting on a bunch of 1.3G without proper mag storage. I learned that the hard way a few years back.

Totally agree about winter shows being better. The cold air does something to the sound that just hits different. Plus you don’t have to worry about the sun not being down all the way at 9pm like in summer.

I’m planning a small NYE thing too. Gonna keep it to mostly fountains and some 500g cakes since my backyard’s not huge. Anyone got recommendations for good cakes that work well in tighter spaces? Don’t wanna be launching stuff into the neighbor’s yard lol.

I’m already planning my NYE show too lol. July 4th was great but I always go bigger for New Years since the sky gets dark earlier and you get better visual. Plus the neighbors are more forgiving about noise on NYE vs the 4th for some reason. Gonna try a bigger finale this year with some 500g cakes I’ve been testing.

I’m with you man. Already looking at suppliers for my NYE show. Anyone here ever ordered direct from a Chinese manufacturer? I’ve been buying from the usual US wholesalers but thinking about cutting out the middleman for a container order. I know Skysong and a couple others do FCL only which is a lot for one guy lol. Winda’s got some good stuff too but their minimums are killer. Might just stick with Phantom for now and save the container idea for when I go in with buddies.
