I know we’re all still recovering from the America 250 madness lol but Labor Day is gonna sneak up fast. For me that’s usually my second biggest show of the year – nothing compared to the 4th but still a solid excuse to light stuff up.

I still got maybe $250-300 worth of cakes and shells from my July 4th stash that I was gonna save for Labor Day but honestly I’m thinking I might grab a few more things to round it out. Anyone else already thinking about what they’re gonna do?

Also curious – for those of you who do both the 4th and Labor Day, do you treat Labor Day as like the ‘second chance’ show where you shoot whatever’s left? Or do you actually plan it out as a separate show with its own setup?

I’m leaning towards just doing a smaller backyard thing with some grill and drinks. Nothing too crazy after the 250th. Keep it chill.

I’m with ya on keeping it chill for Labor Day. After the America 250 madness I’m kinda burned out lol. Gonna do a small cookout with like maybe $150 worth of stuff — some fountains, a couple cakes, sparklers for the kids. Honestly the 4th was so intense this year that I don’t think I can top it anyway. Might just save the leftover cakes and do a proper New Year’s show instead.

I’m with you on keeping it chill for Labor Day. After the 250th I’m kinda burned out on the big productions lol. I still got maybe $150 worth of cakes left from the 4th so I’ll probably just supplement with a few new things and call it good.

What I’m actually trying to figure out is if any of the big retailers are gonna run Labor Day sales. TNT usually does something and Phantom always has some kind of promo. I got a coupon for Winda that I might use if they’re running a deal.

Honestly I think treating Labor Day as the ‘second chance’ show is the move. Less pressure, more just hanging out with friends and grilling. The 4th was so intense this year with the 250th that I need the chill version lol.

Im already testing fuses and checking my firing system batteries lol. Got burned last year when my backup module died during setup. My plan is similar to 4th but scaled down – maybe 20 minutes instead of 30. Focused more on 200g cakes and roman candles this time since 500g are still hard to find. Anyone else doing a Labor Day show or is it just the diehards at this point?

I’m team ‘keep it chill’ for Labor Day too lol. After the America 250 rush I think we all need a break. I’m planning a small cookout show with maybe 15-20 cakes, mostly 200g stuff I have left over. Gonna grab a few new ones from the clearance sales if any are still running.

Also re: TNT sales – their post-4th clearance was decent this year but I noticed they pulled a lot of the good stuff off the floor early and just sold online. Worth checking their website even if the local tent looks empty.
