I’m seeing a lot of towns in Iowa and Nebraska cancelling or postponing their shows this month because of burn bans. We had a decent July 4th but now everything’s dry as a bone. Anyone else dealing with this? How are you handling it on the professional side? We’ve got a show scheduled for mid-August and I’m starting to get nervous about whether it’ll actually happen.

We had a show in Nebraska get cancelled back in June because of the burn ban. Sucks because we’d been prepping for weeks. The local fire department basically said no way, even with a professional crew and water trucks on standby. I get the caution but man, the whole season’s getting squeezed.
