Hit up a couple of fireworks stands around town this week and the clearance sales are hitting hard. Seen some places doing 50-60% off on cakes and multi-shot packs that were selling full price just a week ago.

What kind of deals have you guys been spotting? Anything worth grabbing? I picked up a case of 200g cakes for like $40 total which seemed pretty good.

Also any tips on what actually goes on clearance vs what doesn’t? I noticed the premium shells were still at full price but the smaller cakes and fountains were marked way down.

Figure it’s worth stocking up for next year if prices are right.

Nice finds! I’ve been checking some of the bigger stands around here and yeah the deals are real. Picked up a few packs of rockets for 60% off at a Phantom tent yesterday. They’re trying to clear out inventory before they pack up for the season.

One thing I noticed ? the cakes that didn’t sell well are definitely cheaper but sometimes there’s a reason lol. Had one 500g cake that was just meh even at half price. Stick with known brands if you can.

Anyone know when the online clearance hits? Seems like brick and mortar is already discounting but websites are still at full price.

As someone who runs a stand, let me tell you – the best deals are the week AFTER the 4th when everyone else is done. I stock up for next year starting mid-July. The big chains like TNT and Phantom have to clear inventory so their discounts get crazy – like 60-75% off in some cases.

But here’s the pro tip: go to the smaller independent stands that didn’t sell out. They’re more motivated to negotiate. I’ve walked in on July 8th with cash and walked out with 2x the product for the same money. One guy practically gave me his remaining inventory just so he didn’t have to pack it up.

Also check Facebook Marketplace – after July 4th, tons of people sell leftover stuff from their backyard shows cheap. Got 3 unopened cases of 200g cakes for total last year.
