Down here in Florida we got the opposite problem — it ain’t the heat, it’s the humidity that’ll ruin your stash. I run a seasonal stand near Tampa and I learned quick you gotta keep everything off the ground on pallets.

One thing that works for me: those big plastic deck boxes from Home Depot. Throw a couple damp-rid buckets in there and your cakes will be good to go even through August. Just don’t lock em airtight — fireworks need a little air.
